Grant Geske

About:

M.S. student (Fall 1999 - Spring 2001).
Currently: Ph.D. student at University of Wisconsin at Maddison.

I am from Wisconsin and decided to come to school here because I love the mountains and all the things that come with it. I am very happy with my decision. I am currently a 2nd year Master student and plan to graduate in the spring(2001). I obtained my B.S. from St. Norbert College in 1998. I am currently doing research in the area of Planar Carbon and multiple Oxygen systems(nonstoichiometric).

In October I am getting married to a wonderful woman named Nicki--I am so excited and have so much to do. I love skiing, running, biking, and other outdoor activities. By the way the rock climbing here is great. Working for Alex has been a wonderful experience. He is willing to do whatever it takes to make our experience here better. The learning environment is great. If you want to go to a school that has great opportunities in computational chemistry and a wonderful outdoor setting this is a great place to be. Remember you don't need to know anything about computational chemistry either. When I came here I was going to be a synthetic chemist, but changed my mind.
