CHEMISTRY TEACHER SCHOLARSHIP 2007-2008

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide financial support for an undergraduate chemistry student who is committed to becoming a high school chemistry teacher. The scholarship shall be for an annual amount of $6,000, renewable if requirements are met, but not to exceed $36,000. Criteria:

  1. The recipient should have a GPA of 3.0 and be currently enrolled as an undergraduate chemistry major.
  2. The recipient must be enrolled as a full-time student.
  3. The recipient must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States.
  4. Selection will be based on scholarship, character, and aspiration of the student to pursue a career as a high school teacher. Economic need will be considered, but will not be the determining factor in the selection.
  5. The recipient must sign a yearly agreement committing to becoming a high school chemistry teacher to receive the scholarship.
